Who I Am
My name is Jenna and I am a human person and a nurse. I know that right now, during the Covid-19 Pandemic, it’s a really difficult time to be a healthcare professional, no matter where you work. The month of March has been difficult, and I have been trying to find a way to help my friends who I know are on the front lines. I was inspired but another nurse online who mentioned she was starting an adopt a nurse program for her local area on Long Island. I knew after talking with her, that this was the project I wanted to work on to give back to my friends in healthcare. By starting my project, Kindness Rx, I hope to create a chain of kindness and giving between the community and those on the front lines. There is a lot of uncertainty during this time, but I do know there is a spirit of caring and community, even from a distance.

How You Can Help
The biggest way you can help you health care providers right now is to stay home. Once you’ve done that, I encourage you to become a part of our Adopt a Healthcare Provider Program and care for those who are caring for us. Continue to check back here as I add to this website. I plan to add resources for both nurses and community members with health related information and possibly blog posts. This site is bare bones right now while I figure things out, but I will start to flesh this out more in the coming days. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you consider helping a healthcare hero today!
